Dirty Little Secrets

I recently finished the book that Daniel got me for my birthday, "Dirty Little Secrets from Otherwise Perfect Moms". The authors of the book interviewed hundreds of moms, and in this book are their true confessions... the dirty little secrets from motherhood. Needless to say, it is very entertaining. Since I have only been a mother for 10 months, I don't have a ton of these dirty little secrets about motherhood, but I can totally imagine myself doing what some of these mothers confess to doing. There is a good combination of sweet, funny, and thoughtful Dirty Little Secrets, and there is definitely something in here that every mother can relate too.

Here are a few of the confessions from the book:

My kids don't wear pj's on weeknights. They go to bed in their school clothes so I don't have to fight with them about their outfits in the morning.

I threw away my birth control pills... and he doesn't know.

Some nights when my husband and I go to bed, I roll over and "play dead". All I can think is "I just cant handle it if one more person pokes me today."

We were in the grocery store and when we hit the wine aisle, she screamed, "That's Mommy's juice!"

I look at every mother and assume they're a much better mother than I am.

I threw out a pair of shoes my daughter loved and told her I couldn't find them.

I want to smack the mom who says, "You only have one child?"

I had to lock myself in my car to make a conference call while my kids screamed and banged on the windows outside.

So now that you get the gist of the book, I want to know one of your dirty little secrets. Yeah, that's right. You are actually going to have to comment. And if you dont, I will go on strike and never blog again (harrumph).

So whether your a new mommy or an experienced mommy, I want to hear from you (and you may feel free to make it anonymous if you wish)! Or heck, if your not a mommy and you know someone else's dirty little secret, feel free to share!

Here, I will start:
Once I had to put my sons highchair in the doorway of the bathroom to feed him lunch, because I had the runs and couldn't stay off the toilet for more than 30 seconds at a time.

There, I said it. Now its your turn.
What is your Dirty Little Secret?
