This past weekend I headed out to take some pictures of our friend's nephew. He is almost two and just about the sweetest kid on earth. Lucky for me he had NO problem warming up to me or my camera! Seriously, I am thinking about hiring this kid out to give pointers to other toddlers I photograph. The whole time I was with him and his mom he was just so sweet and chill. Seeing as how MY kid tells me to stop taking his picture every time I bring out my camera, it was very refreshing to be around a toddler who didn't mind me and my camera following him around! :)

Without further adieu, here are a few of my favorites from our session!

*** Disclaimer*** My husbands monitor is not calibrated, and because I am needing to use his computer to edit pictures I have NO idea what they are looking like to you folks. I know they look ok over here on the non calibrated monitor, but they could like like a pile of poo to all of you. So I apologize if my pictures are looking a bit off. One day everything will be back to normal. One day...

I just wanted to show you two pictures of my absolutely gorgeous child. Even while suffering from nasty bronchitis (yes, we went to the doctor today and he sure enough DOES have bronchitis) AND an ear infection he still manages to look like a freaking model. Gah. This kid just melts me!

Oh, and the soccer ball he is holding? He got it from the doctors office. He was pretty pumped about that! :)

Sneak Peek

We have some friends from church named Chris and Corrie. They have an adorable daughter named Ariana and she is turning the big UNO this month! So what better way to mark that milestone than with a photo shoot?! Ariana is SUCH a cutie pie, and she did a great job putting up with my camera in her face for an hour! :) Here are a few pictures!

Pregnant Shelley!

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been a little slack on the blog updates this week. I really have no excuse. I have had pictures of Z complete with stories that show how fast he is growing up, but I just haven't had the motivation to post them.

But have no fear, Shelley is here!

In case you werent reading my blog six months ago, I took some pictures for Shelley and her husband Matt back in December. (Click here to see the session) You may notice that Shelley looks a bit different in those pictures and that is because she is just a few short weeks (or days!) away from having a precious baby girl! I have never photographed a pregnant woman before, so I was really excited/a tiny bit nervous when Shelley agreed to let me try my hand at maternity pictures for her! It was a great learning experience and I had fun (as usual) hanging out with my sweet friend.

Jonita & Sons

Ok, so before I get yelled at for not being a good blogger this week, let me go ahead and say that my computer has been giving me HECK. Well, its not so much my computer as it is FireFox. Apparently the latest version doesn't like me. Anyway, I have been trying to get this blog post up all week, but due to said problems, I haven't been able to blog from my computer. Thankfully my hubby is letting me use his computer so I can finally get this post up and going. :)

Now its time for the pictures!

I met Jonita and her two boys downtown last week for some picture taking fun! I loved that they allowed me to use them for some much needed practice. :) I always enjoy taking pictures and the learning that comes along with it, but what I really enjoyed this time was getting to know Jonita and her her boys a little bit better! I hope you enjoy your pictures, Jonita! I had fun hanging out with your sweet family!!









Did I mention that Jonita is one of the nursery workers at our church? Well, she is. And my son LOVES her. He even includes her in his list of friends that he plays with at church! My son is very picky about his friends, and the fact that Jonita is on that list speaks very highly of her. :)

This is Jonita's oldest son Joseph. I was a bit nervous about photographing a teenager during his spring break, but he was SUCH a good sport. He even convinced me that he was enjoying the whole process, and for that I am grateful!

And this is Jonita's youngest son Fredrick. He is the most polite and well behaved ten year old that I have met in a while. (Talk about a breath of fresh air!) It is hard not to crack a smile when you are around this kid!

Oh, and he kind of likes basketball. (And by "kind of" I mean he REALLY likes basketball!) So we made sure to get a few pictures that demonstrate his mad skills. :)

We also had to make sure to get a picture of mom with each of her boys!

And last but not least, a final picture of the fam. :)

A Picture

It's The Little Things

I went outside today and found these little babies basking in the sun.





Quite a few of these bunches were starting to peek out at me. I was very happy to see them!





I am not 100% sure why I was happy to see these random berries, but I am guessing it has something to do with the hope of warmer weather. Not too warm though. 60's and 70's would be nice.

Ah yes. I feel some of my sanity coming back already. Outdoor fun, here we come!

The Bingham's

Hey everyone! I usually don't post on the weekends, but I took some pictures of of our friends earlier this week. And I wanted to show you a few. :) I would like you to meet our friends Matt and Shelley. I went over to their adorable home on Wednesday and took some Christmas pictures of them and their dog. We all had a great time... except for their dog who was being gift wrapped. :)

Shelley's parents were in town for the week, so we made sure
to have them jump in a picture or two!

Remember I mentioned their dog? Well... this is Francis. Francis and I haven't known each other for very long, but I could probably write a short novel (or at least a decent sized pamphlet) on his hilarious and ridiculous personality. Believe you me, this dog is quite the character!
