Pinch Me

Is that a piece of celery in my kid's hand???
Nah. Couldn't be. My kid refuses to eat mac n cheese these days, much less a piece of celery.
Must be another adorable child.

Excuse me, young man? Have you seen my son, Zachariah? He is 20 months old, 30 something pounds, and just about the cutest child on the face of this earth.

Wait. What? YOU are Zachariah?? Huh. That's odd. Because the Zachariah that I carried in my womb wouldn't be caught dead with a green veggie in his hand... much less his mouth.

Oh. My mistake. I see it now.
Yep, that look is a dead giveaway.

Sorry, son. You just confused mommy for a bit. But I am back now and looking forward to you eating LOTS of raw veggies from now on, okay??

Belated Beach Pics

Yeah, I know. This post is LONG overdue. But better late than never, right? Yeah I know, that's a lame saying. But I had to try something.

So here are the beach pics. I am apparently still having issues with the colors of my photos, because when they uploaded it drained them of all color. Or at least that's what it seems like. But I don't care. Because I am so tired of messing with this. So just pretend they are all nicely edited. Because they are. Or were at some point. I am going to pretend my many hours of work was not completely wasted.

Here are a few pics from the pool. We got in soon after we got to the beach on Friday afternoon. Zachariah had a ton-o-fun in his new float, and he even "swam" with daddy!

(Click on the pictures to make them bigger. I don't know why the first set is so small. But we are going to ignore that too, okay? Thanks.)

After the fun swimming session, we headed out to eat. Zachariah did a little coloring while waiting on his grilled cheese and fries (And yes, I did eat his fries, but only so he wouldn't die by way of a clogged artery or something.)

And here is Zachariah's cousin, Collin. Isn't he a cutie?! I cant wait
until they are running around playing together!

Me and my cool dude are still waiting on our food...

Zachariah had a little trouble with the concept of looking at the camera so mommy can have a decent picture. It was getting a bit ridiculous, so I helped him out a bit.:)

And coming up, are some pics I took while we were spending some time on the beach. And you should know that Zachariah did NOT like the sand. He would not let the stuff touch him. But I was the same way as a baby/toddler/teenager. Ha. Just kidding.

Anyway, the only way he would stop clinging to us was if he was sitting on a towel. So that is what we did. Plopped him on a towel and he dug, and dug until his heart was content.

And then once his heart was no longer content with the digging, he started throwing the sand. The series of events in the pictures above happened about 428 times. It was hilarious.

Until I had to clean out the sand from his hair. Oh the amount of sand I found all over this kid. I would be fine if he never played in sand again. But it was totally worth it. He had a blast.

And while all that was going on, we decided to take a self portrait. Because we are cool like that.

After he got bored with throwing the sand, Z got brave. Real brave. He decided he would WALK on the sand with Daddy. They walked for at least 10 min. It was adorable. And this (below) is my favorite picture.
Gah, I have such a cute kid.

Then we have a Mother's Day Family picture, where Zachariah is trying to stab Daniel with a pen... ???

Whatever. So he happens to be a bit aggressive at times. He makes up for it with his cuteness.

And last but not least, the whole clan!

As you can probably tell, we had a blast. Sorry it took so long to post these. And sorry the colors are all wacky. But I couldn't go another day without sharing my beach pics. More will be up on my facebook in the next day or two, so check there soon! :)

I Have Officially Lost My Mojo

Yep. Its true. The mojo for blogging and photography are gone. I think this I know who stole them though...
Then again, maybe not.

Anyway, for those who are interested, here is what has been going on with my mojo's...

Blogging Mojo:
I have been a slacker. Partially due to lack of commenter's, but mostly due to my obsession with other blogs. (Pioneer Woman and MckMamma anyone??) I have been doing some serious blog stalking lately, and it just eliminated my need for blogging. I am hoping to rectify that though, seeing as how my blog is pretty sad looking with only one update a week. And I need a header. I am putting that on my list of things to do.

Photo Mojo:
I have been having some monitor issues. My pictures looked great on my screen, but when printed, they looked bad. They were either too dark or too contrasted. Turns out our monitor was not calibrated, which left my pictures looking funky. And due to that issues, I have not wanted to touch my camera. And when I have gotten the courage to start taking pictures again, I got all depressed when I looked at them on my darn computer. *sigh* Anyway. Daniel was fabulous and re calibrated the monitor, so we should have that fixed now. I just need to locate that mojo so I continue learning more about photography.

So yeah. That's why my posts have been scarce. I hope to return with all of my mojo sometime in the near future.

And I will be totally fine if I never see the word mojo again. That was just too much for one post. Geeze.

Stop The Cuteness

Last week we had a friend over to play, and Zachariah couldn't have been happier. They are only two months apart, so Z just loves it when he gets to play with kids his age. And I enjoy seeing him play with other kids. He gets so silly.

Anyway, these two were cracking me up. And I thought they were just darn adorable sitting at the table playing... so I had to grab the camera. :)

tuesday bla's

I have been meaning to post pics of our beach trip... but i am still not done going through them and editing. I took 1,461 pictures over the course of three days, so its a bit overwhelming. To tell you the truth, I am almost done. But I just haven't been able to muster up the strength to edit any more. It will come soon enough. I know you are losing sleep at night due to the lack of pictures I have been posting. :)

In other news, I have a case of the bla's. I need a nap. And a massage. And a pedicure. And a maid. And a million dollars.

Yeah. That should do it. I'm not asking for much, am I? :)

Oh The Drama

The past couple days have been CRAZY. But I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, so I now have a little time to blog about my freak accident.

To make a long story short, Zachariah scratched my eyeball. Yes. That's right. He scratched my freaking eyeball. The poor kid didn't mean to hurt his mommy. In fact he was oblivious to the whole entire thing. We were just watching TV and all of a sudden he got excited about Winnie The Pooh, causing his hand to fly in front of my face. Which somehow resulted in his fingers being shoved into my eye. Which led to me crying in pain for the next three hours before decided I needed to go to the doctor.

Seriously, it hurt like crap. It took me 10 min. to even be able to open my eyes. I was expecting blood to be pouring down my face. (Yes, I tend to overreact a bit.) It really was excruciating pain.

So this happened around noon and I ended up at the eye doctor about three hours later. I really wish I could show you what the doctor showed Daniel. I hear it was pretty remarkable. When looking through their microscope you could see my scratch. And boy was it one heck of a scratch. It was 4mm long and 2mm wide, starting in my pupil and ending in my iris. Apparently it was in the shape of a banana. I really wish I had a picture of that.

Anyway. My vision was messed up pretty bad. They gave me some magic eye drops and a contact lens that acted as a band aid (which was pretty cool) and I was quickly on the road to recovery. My eye literally healed overnight. It was pretty amazing.

My vision will be blurry for up to two weeks, but I am thrilled there is no permanent damage. With the scratch being in the pupil, it was a serious possibility.

And now for a picture. I am ONLY going to show you this if you promise not to look closely at my eyebrows. Promise? Seriously, you have to promise. Okay, good. I am going to hold you to this.

See how dilated my darn eye is? And red. And puffy. I wish I could have opened them a bit more. But the sun was killing me.

Oh, and just in case your wondering... yes, that is actually a picture of my eyes. Yes, I am aware my eyebrows resemble a mans eyebrows. And yes, I am going to rectify that soon. I don't seem to have a lot of time on my hands to tend to the caterpillars. Don't judge me.

Anyway. my vision should be completely normal in a couple weeks. And if you have actually read this far then you deserve a cookie. Seriously, tell me what your favorite cookie is and I will get it to you.

:)

My Husband Is The Greatest

I will have a post about our beach trip in the next day or two, but for now I wanted to show you how awesome my husband is. Check out what he made me for Mother's Day...
Yeah. He made it. Every bit of it. Photographed, painted, designed, and printed the canvas. And I love it. The picture just doesn't do it justice. You should see it up close and personal. Its just spectacular.

Anyway, I just wanted to show you how creative and fabulous my hubby is. :)
Hope all the mommy's out there had a great Mother's Day!

First Day At The Beach

Seeing as how my legs are suffering from some major sunburn, this post will be pretty short. But because I am such a nice person, I will leave you with two pictures from our fun afternoon. :)

More to come later!

I'm So Excited, And I Just Can't Hide It...

I bet your wondering why I am so excited, huh? Well, my blogger friends, we happen to be leaving tomorrow morning for our annual Titus Family Beach Vacation! Woot!

I will try to blog at least once while we are gone, but for now I am off take a stab at packing with a toddler at my heels. After I clean up the box of tissues he has so graciously emptied for me. *insert eye roll here*

Oh, and if you find yourself lying awake at night wondering how your going to make it a couple days without seeing pictures of my adorable child, have no fear! You can click here to see last years beach pictures. :)

See ya next week!

The Many Faces of Zachariah

One of my favorite things about this kid are his many facial expressions. I could never capture them all, but I happened to catch a few of them the other day during snack and thought I would share. :)

This last one is my favorite. I love his goofiness. :)

Happy Monday!

New Addition

Blog friends, meet Mr. Ducky.
Mr. Ducky, meet my blog friends.
Good. Now that everyone has met, we can move onto the cuteness that is my son. :)

Zachariah received this duck in his Easter basket from Mimi and Poppie. Ever since the nap time after the egg hunt he and Mr. Ducky have become fast friends.

Seeing as how we added a new addition to our family of stuffed animals, I thought it would be appropriate to document their first week together. Unfortunately blogger and I are having some issues tonight with this collage. Click to make it bigger.

Oh, and I should let you know that Zachariah does not accept all stuffed animals into his circle of friends. He only has a select few that he will even consider taking into his crib with him during nap time (most of which are penguins). But I am happy to report that Mr. Ducky has been welcomed into this little boy's circle of friends with open arms. :)

Bla

I need to get out of my rut. I need to get more photography books and "study" more. It has been MONTHS since I have done that. I feel as if I am backtracking with my photography, and that depresses me.

I need to start learning again, or I will be in this rut forever.

Any book recommendations? I am going to see what I can find this afternoon.
:)
