I saw a commercial the other day that just made my jaw drop to the floor. I don't watch much tv so everyone else has probably already seen these, but just in case I put two of the commercials down below. They are very short so it wont take you long to watch.
I don't get offended easily, especially by things I see on tv, but this actually offended me. I cant even express how angry I was/am that these commercials are on the air. The average person will believe ANYTHING they hear, and so now people are thinking that high fructose corn syrup is perfectly fine. News flash: ITS NOT. Whats next? A commercial that is trying to convince us that smoking actually increases your life span!! Grrrr.
Ok. I am going to take a time out and calm down a bit. While I am doing that, please watch these other two commercials I found. They are "spoofs" of the two ridiculous ones at the top of the post. They are obviously not "professionally done" but I liked them anyway. :)
High fructose corn syrup is not good for you, MSG is not good for you, food dyes are not good for you... the list could go on. Sure these things are not HORRIBLE in moderation, but they happen to be in everything we eat. So we cannot possibly eat them in moderation. I hate that most people think its ok to eat all this junk.
Alright. I think that is enough video footage and ranting for today. Just... PLEASE don't believe everything you see on TV. Do your own research.

Another video
A friend posted this video on facebook today and I just cant stop watching it. I like it, I love it, I want some more of it. ( There's a little Tim McGraw for ya)
Seriously though. I think this is a fabulous video. It made me smile. And tear up. So I wanted to share it.
And for those who are wondering, I do hope to post something BESIDES a video next time I blog. :)

This Is Not A Joke
I really have no words for this. All I can say is when Daniel and I saw this commercial come on TV last, night our jaws hit the floor. We were speechless. Daniel immediately looked it up and posted a link on his facebook. And now I am sharing it with all of you.
Some of you may be getting this for Christmas. So watch out.

Videos
Here are a few short videos that I have been meaning to show you loyal readers. I finally snagged them from Mimi's vimeo site. :)
The first is of Uncle Greg and Zachariah drumming on Mimi's pots and pans, the second is Zachariah playing the guitar (Zachariah LOVES to play the guitar with Greg), and the last one is of Poppie and Zachariah singing their favorite song.
Enjoy!

You spin me right round, baby right round
For the past couple weeks, Zachariah has been getting enjoyment out of making himself REALLY dizzy. I got a bit of it on video a week or so ago, and I must say, its pretty funny to watch. So for those who are interested, here is a peek at the silliness of Zachariah. :)
Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!

First Carbonated Beverage
Zachariah LOVES drinking through a straw. So the other night at dinner he saw my Sprite from Burger King and begged to have a sip. The only beverages he has consumed (to my knowledge anyway) have been water, juice and milk. He has definitely not had anything carbonated before. So I grabbed the video camera and let him have at it.
Needless to say, he HATED the carbonation going down his throat. Poor little guy. But his reaction cracked me up. So like a good mommy, I am sharing it with all of bloggerland. :)

Love It
I just saw this commercial while watching The Biggest Loser. From the moment it started, we were captivated by the music. Anyway... just wanted to share. Ignore the crappy youtube quality. :)

Video For Your Friday Morning Enjoyment
Zachariah has started to get his groove on with The Wiggles here recently. He changes his moves almost every time he dances, so you never know what to expect! This kid cracks me up.
I think his dancing skills have improved from this video I took about a month ago, don't you?

I saw this video today, and it made me laugh. So I thought I would share it with you.
Take note that this baby is NOT crawling.

Takes Me Back
Zachariah and I were watching the 25th anniversary DVD of Sesame Street the other day, and I was reminded of one of my favorite songs by Chris and the Alphabeats. I just think this is the funniest thing! I love it.
(The Count blabbers on for a bit, so go to the 50 second mark to see the actual song)

Take Out the Trash Day
Lately, one of Zachariah's favorite things to do with Daddy has been taking out the trash. Every single time Daniel bags up the trash in the kitchen, Zachariah squeals with excitement because he knows a walk to the big trash can is forthcoming.
A couple weeks ago Daniel bagged up the trash late at night, and instead of strutting down the driveway in his birthday suit, he just set it outside the back door. So naturally, when we went outside the next day, Zachariah saw the bag sitting there... and went crazy. He insisted on taking the trash down himself. So I grabbed the camera and recorded the cuteness.
Oh. Yeah...you may want to turn your volume way down. I tend to forget how close the speaker is on the camera. So I apologize for the obnoxious screeching.
I know this looks more like child torture than anything else. But he really did want to take the trash down. He just kept getting a bit distracted. He never did make it all the way though. :)

One Hernia, Coming Up
Zachariah is under the impression that he is the strongest one year old around. He will try (and most of the time succeed) to pick up heavy objects and tote it over to me or Daniel. He is so proud of himself when he "helps" by carrying things. His favorite thing to carry happens to be packs of diapers. He makes a funny little grunting sound and his facial expression cracks me up. Daniel keeps saying that he is going to give himself a baby hernia. *insert eye roll here*
So now, without further adieu... here is a video of the cuteness (Please ignore his messy room).

My Little Toddler
He has been working at this for a couple weeks now, but I think it is safe to say that Zachariah is (for the most part anyway) walking more than crawling! It took him 13 months, but he has really gotten the hang of this walking thing. It is very bittersweet... to see my baby confidently walking down the hallway with a HUGE grin on his face. He acts as if he had been doing this his whole life. Its just the cutest thing.
We are oh-so-proud of this little man!

I honestly don't even know what to say about this video. So feel free to untie my tongue. :)
